Our major services includes precision Auto-Tech diagnostic tune-up and safety inspection and we provide you with a full report on your car's overall mechanical condition. All points are lubricated where necessary oil and fuel filters are replaced and the air cleaner filters are cleaned or replaced as necessary.

Exhaust

 

Exhaust system inspected for leaks, damage and deterioration. Replacement with quality mufflers and components.
 

Air Conditioning

With the Summer conditions in Sydney, air conditioning is a necessity, especially if you have children or carry pets in the car. When we service your air conditioner we inspected for operating pressures, leaks, deterioration or damage to any hoses, seals or components. Drive belts checked and replaced where necessary. System recharged with refrigerant.

Fuel System - EFI

 

EFI can cause problems. Hard starting and rough running are symptom of dirty injectors as is poor fuel economy. We perform a full engine tune-up, clean fuel injectors to ensure smooth running, check the air intake system and inspect fuel lines, replace fuel filter and check air cleaner and renew if necessary.
 

Engine Repairs

 

Did you know that most manufacturers specify that cam belts must be replaced every 100,000 kms. Our technical reference system provides us with detailed vehicle maintenance information for all engine components on most makes and models. We handle all engine repairs whether it's timing belts, battery maintenance, system hoses, oil leaks or ignition problems.

Wheel alignment

 

When you consider the price of tyres today a wheel alignment becomes a great investment. Front wheel misalignment causes premature tyre wear, high-speed instability and unnecessary expense.

At Straight Steer Automotive our Technicians are trained to spot tyre damage caused by a front end that is misaligned.

We use the latest precision equipment to adjust caster, camber an toe-in of front wheels to prevent excessive tyre wear and high-speed instability.
 

Cooling system

 

In the Summer conditions in Sydney it's important to make sure that your cooling system is in top condition. Our Technicians pressure-test the radiator, inspect hoses for leaks, radiator cap for proper sealing, coolant level, check water pump for leaks, noise and wear and all drive belts for tension and condition.
 

Clutch Repairs

 

Your clutch transfers power from the engine, through the transmission to the wheels. It's subject to wear and tear especially if it's not adjusted properly. We adjust it to manufacturers specifications and check the hydraulics for operation and fluid leaks.

All clutch replacements include flywheel machining to ensure smooth take up, shudder free clutch operation.

Suspension

 

At Straight Steer Automotive we know that worn steering components can be dangerous and affect your safety and cause premature tyre wear. We test and inspect all suspension components for wear including ball joints, shock absorbers, control arms, bushes, tie rod ends and McPherson struts.
 

Brake Service

 

Worn or damaged disc pads or brake linings can be fatal and if left can also cause additional damage to disc rotors and brake drums leading to even more expense. Our brake service includes disc pad or brake shoe replacement on front or rear wheels, using quality pads. We also machine brake discs and drums to ensure smooth braking and to prevent premature wear on new components when we replace disc pads or brake linings.

Transmission


 

Day after day your automatic transmission shifts up and down hundreds of time without missing a beat. We make sure that it stays that way. During a service on a vehicle with an automatic transmission we check transmission fluid levels, check for leaks, clean and/or replace filter and road test the vehicle to make sure that everything works the way it should.

Rear Axle

 

In rear wheel vehicles the back axle assembly and differential work hard driving the rear wheels and adjusting their speed as you go round corners. During our vehicle services [if you have a rear wheel drive vehicle] we check your drive shaft universal joints for wear, fluid level in the differential housing, rear wheel oil seals and all rear axle mounting points.
